Legislative priorities

The Rhode Island Health Care Association (RIHCA) serves as a strong voice for our members, their employees, and the residents they care for—both at the State House and in Washington, D.C. Each year, our legislative priorities evolve in response to the issues shaping long-term care. We actively monitor, support, and provide testimony on legislation that impacts the quality, access, and sustainability of skilled nursing care in Rhode Island.

In addition to responding to proposed bills, RIHCA often advances its own legislative initiatives designed to strengthen the long-term care system, enhance resident well-being, and support the dedicated professionals who provide 24-hour care in our member facilities.
